tumblr!!!!!

I love tutoring 8th graders because I find out what is cool in music and on the internetz. Aubrey was showing me "tumblr" last night and I like it! You can post random things you find on the internet that you like (videos, songs, photos, links, etc) and share them with your followers. I figure my online life is thus: facebook is to keep in touch w everyone, the blog is more personal and to keep in touch with you guys, and tumlbr is an extension of SBlog to share all the fun things i find on the internet (nothing personal). Today I went for a walk/jog at Salt Creek Beach after tutoring. I hadn't been there in a while and I forgot how much I like that walk - 4 miles, 45 mins, ocean to golf course and back. Mom & Stevie, you both have been there with me:

When I got to the far, 1/2-way point I snapped a pic looking back at the ocean. Look how small the ocean is - you can barely see it. That's how far I'd gone:

It was there, as far away as possible from my car, that I realized that I forgot to pay the parking meter!!!!!!! So I ran the entire way back. Great motivation for running! I almost collapsed when I got to my car but... no ticket! Whew! And a great workout!

Now Timmy is coming over to play wii tonight, and do that run and lounge in the pool w me tomorrow. I literally have NOTHING to do this weekend except relax and work out. The kids I watch all have parents at home, laundry is done, groceries bought, car and house are sparkling and organized, and all emails returned/filed. This is a relatively new feeling for me in my adult life. I can't remember the last time I had nothing to do. It's awesome. Life is good.

SallyCat & GreerDog

So I've actually been home for a few consecutive days and The Sallster is beside herself with happiness. The sun shines into the kitchen in the morning (well, "early afternoon" for most, but morning for me) and Sally has a favorite corner chair where she soaks it in.

Then tonight I stayed over at the Jacobs after tutoring Lindsay to watch American Idol with them, and Greer had just come back from a soccer game. She was filthy!! Such a pretty, delicate-featured, blonde girl and SUCH a tomboy!! Love her. Thought you'd enjoy, Stevie!

I'm Sooo Grandma Bell These Days

I had a 45-minute break between tutoring sessions so I went for a walk/jog in Niguel Shores where I tutor Kendall (it's connected to the Ritz-Carlton in Dana Point). I'm trying to get 45 mins of cardio in every day, so that worked out well! I've never explored Niguel Shores - it's beautiful! The grass-area between the sidewalk and the street was filled with gorgeous, colorful flowers (go ahead and make fun, Stevie):

And then I walked a little further and I thought this would be a cool ocean shot.

It is.
It's like from a frickin' Ansel Adams coffee table book at Grandma Bell's. Haha :)

And now I'm at the Thurins. I put the sweet kids in bed hours ago and I'm dying of boredom because they have the parental lock on the tvs and I don't know the code!! I wanna watch Conan! Not crap on Nick and Disney! Thank god I had my laptop in my car.

Tuesday, March 1st! It's March!

Wow - I've been working on my own for almost an entire school year. Pretty cool. 

I got new sunglasses and watch from Urban Outfitters and I like them.

Monday 2-28

Back to work today! It was a great week off. 


I was so busy today that I forgot to take a pic during the day. But then I did 45 mins of wii Dance on Broadway when I got home as my cardio and I snapped a shot of my favorite dance, "Good Morning, Baltimore," and my kick-ass score:

Sunday, Feb 27

Watched the 2 younger Duran girls today! 

Juliette had a basketball game (that's her "war paint" to intimidate the other team, ha). 

Then we went to sell Girl Scout cookies with her troop outside Ralph's. 

Then we came back and watched the Oscar red carpet arrivals.

Little Sami tagged along and was SO sweet and happy!

Saturday, Feb 26 - Sorenson Day!

Spent the day/night with McCall and Trent and had SO much fun!

McCall and I both had on hot pink and jeans, but I wish I had her rad pink boots!

 The 3 of us walked to downtown Laguna Beach so that they could get some of Casey's Cupcakes. 

She won "Cupcake Wars," a tv show they watched.

The cupcake shop was just about the cutest decorated place I've ever seen in my life. 

Then we walked back to their house on the beach the whole way. 

The clouds were cool. So is McCall.

Then we went and got mani/pedis (my bday gift to her)

I got purple

and McCall got rainbow sparkle

 Then that night we went to see the Justin Beiber movie. 

I must admit, McCall and I were haters, pre-movie.

But 1/2-way thru the movie she turned to me and said, "I think I'm in love with him." And I said, "So am I!" That kid is amazing: cute, talented, kind, smart, and driven. We should have never said never.

Then after we went to San-Shi-Go for some delicious sushi!
